Google Classroom is a tool available to teachers to assign work, and keep track of students progress in an organized manner. As the teacher you can assign homework, grade and comment on the students work, and then return the work to the student. Within Google Classroom you can create assignments, quizzes, questions, and material students may need for class. As a student, you can join different classes all in one place. Homework assignments and due dates will show up on the main dashboard of your class so that you can keep track of assignments. Students can press “Calendar” to see what days certain assignments or posts are due. Google Classroom is a great tool to use in the classroom whether it is online or in-person. The best benefit is that everybody already has a Google account and is familiar with Google features which makes Google Classroom extremely accessible. We can use it to keep everything that relates to our class all in one place; quizzes, assignments, announcements, and general communication. If class is cancelled, you can easily send out an alert to the entire class, and you can easily take attendance with a question that each student is assigned to answer before class is over. By putting assignments due in the Google Classroom, we have them all in one place and can grade them instantly to return to students, and give them feedback.
